McCall MacBain Scholarship 2027

The McCall MacBain Scholarship is one of Canada’s leading fully funded graduate scholarship programs. It supports talented students who wish to begin an eligible full-time master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill University for the Summer or Fall 2027 intake.

This scholarship is not only focused on academic funding. It is also designed to help students grow as leaders through mentorship, coaching, leadership development activities, seminars, workshops, and community engagement. Scholars become part of a strong cohort where they learn from peers, mentors, advisors, and experienced professionals from different sectors.

The program is ideal for students who have demonstrated character, service, leadership, entrepreneurial thinking, academic strength, and curiosity. Applicants from around the world can apply, but they must meet the scholarship eligibility rules and also satisfy the admission requirements of their chosen McGill program.

For the 2027 cohort, the scholarship offers up to 30 full McCall MacBain Scholarships and up to 100 additional finalist and regional awards. International students can also be considered for both full scholarships and other awards depending on their performance during the selection process.

• Be a current student on track to complete their first bachelor’s degree by August 2027.

• Have completed their first bachelor’s degree within the last five years, January 2021 or later.

• Have completed their first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago and be 30 years old or younger on January 1, 2026.

Applicants must also:

• Meet the minimum degree and language requirements for admission to McGill University.

• Apply for an eligible full-time master’s or second-entry professional undergraduate program at McGill.

• Choose a program that begins in Summer or Fall 2027.

• Demonstrate strong character, leadership potential, community engagement, academic strength, and intellectual curiosity.

• Apply separately to McGill University if selected or required during the process.

3. Create an online application account.

4. Complete the scholarship application form.

5. Add personal, academic, leadership, volunteer, work, and community engagement details.

6. List your McGill programs of interest.

7. Upload your resumé and academic transcripts.

8. Request two reference forms through the online system.

9. Complete the short answers and essays.

10. Submit the application before the correct deadline.

11. Apply separately to McGill University programs during the required period.

Applicants should start early because reference forms and possible university endorsement may take time. The scholarship application is separate from McGill admission, so applicants must complete both processes.
